A manually operated slide valve 65, Fig. 4, serving to control fluid to and from a hydraulic winch 16 is positioned by a hydraulic piston 59 secured thereto and displaceable within a cylinder 21 by fluid pressure transmitted through one or other of lines 57, 58 connected to opposite sides of a piston 52, Fig. 3, remote from the winch control valve and secured to a rod 32 to which is also secured a motor piston 47 which is actuated by fluid pressure supplied by a pump 22, Fig. 1, separate from the main pump 11 and admitted through bores 41, 42 in the rod 32 having ports 48, 49 opening into cylinder spaces 45, 46 and bores 43, 44 controlled by a manually operated valve 31 having an annular cavity 37 connected by a nipple 35 and a line 24 to said pump 22. Annular cavities 38, 39 are connected to the pump inlet whereby in operation and assuming valve 31 to have been moved to the left thus connecting pressure port 37 with bore 42 and cylinder space 46, space 45 is connected to the pump inlet through bore 41 and ports 44, 39. The remote control assembly is housed in a column 25 and an adjacent column 26 houses remote control means for two combined topping and boom winches 17, 18. Specification 895,104 is referred to. |
