PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add and delete various effects containing video effects in a completely reversible form. SOLUTION: A reproduction describing system has the purpose of controlling a reproduction of multimedia data by use of reproduction describing data which designates directly or indirectly a reproduction time of at least each data of a plurality of multimedia data. The system adds a processing clip newly produced by processing effects set in a part of a multimedia data clip 1 to be reproduced, to reproduction describing data together with processing data identification information. In the clip 1, a copy thereof and a portion of a reproduction time corresponding to the processing clip, reproduction time designations (cut-in point, cut-out point) of the clip 1 and copy are changed so as to attain the same reproduction image as when effects set in the clip 1 are applied by using the above.
