PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that is provided with a rib to contact a display device at a surrounding of an aperture at an inner face of a cabinet having the aperture from which the display device is exposed externally and can prevent the rib from being damaged. SOLUTION: A front cabinet 22F has a rectangular aperture 22a through which a display device such as a CRT is externally exposed. The rib 22b to contact the display device is provided at the surrounding of the aperture 22a. The thickness of a corner 22b1 from the end of the aperture 22a is made thinner than that of other parts than the corner 22b1 so that a face of contact by the display device at the corner 22b1 of the rib 22b is smaller.
