PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to use remote control and detection of a state of device by using a device control command, such as an AV/C command over a wide range network. SOLUTION: A 1st device is connected to a 2nd device in a 1st network, such as a TCP/IP network capable of transmission of text data, the 2nd device is connected to a 3rd device in a 2nd network, capable of transmitting a prescribed command and a prescribed response, and when the 1st device transmits a command configured to be text data to the 3rd device through the 1st network, the 2nd device discriminates the command in the text data, converts the discriminated command into the command of a prescribed form, the device transmits the converted command to the 3rd device through the 2nd network, and the 3rd device executes an operation designated by the received command.
