PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a multifunction machine which is equipped with a bus transferring data, etc., a plurality of function parts having interfaces for data transmission and reception connected to the bus, and a controller totally controlling the respective function parts through the bus and allows the respective function parts to communicate with other function parts through the bus, by effectively using the bus. SOLUTION: Each function part inputs program information including receiving capability information regarding the reception capability of other function parts from the controller and performs data transfer to other function parts according to the program information. The use of bus is so controlled that when the data transfer to other function parts is performed through the bus, the data transfer is carried out according to the receiving capability information. The receiving capability information is data representing the amount of continuous reception through the bus, held by the respective function parts, and sent to the controller. The receiving capability information value is varied according to the use state of the bus, that the controller decides.
