PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dispersion based on an image pickup device of image data and to uniformly evaluate nonwoven fabric weave without depending on the image pickup device for instance by calibrating the sensitivity characteristics of the image pickup device used for a nonwoven fabric weave evaluation device or the like by using the enlargement of a dynamic range and normalization. SOLUTION: The dynamic range of density image data based on the respective image data of the same object picked up by the image pickup device to be a reference and the image pickup-device to be calibrated is enlarged. Also, respective density histograms are obtained from the density image data whose dynamic range is enlarged. Further, the density histograms are normalized, density conversion data are generated on the basis of the normalized density histograms and turned to calibration data and the density of the images of the image pickup device is converted by the calibration data.
