PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal receiving method that utilizes particular properties of an infrastructure by the 3GPP(3rd generation partnership project) standard so as to enhance channel estimate based on a pilot. SOLUTION: This invention enhances channel estimate because of increase in the quantity of symbols used as pilot symbols by using coded control symbols for the additional pilot symbols for receiving a signal coded by the 3GPP wideband CDMA standard. As a result, the entire capacity of the communication system can be increased to reduce the energy required for transmission thereby extending the service life of a battery of a mobile terminal. In an embodiment, coded control symbols transmitted through a dedicated physical control channel(DPCCH) of a 3GPP wideband CDMA transmission channel is used. The coded control symbol includes data from a transport format combination indicator(TFCI) of the dedicated physical control channel(DPCCH). |
