PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for distributing electronic information which enable dynamic change of use rights even after the electronic information is distributed. SOLUTION: This electronic information distribution system is provided with an electronic information creating device 1 encrypt the electronic information and to generate required decryption key information and use authority information, a use authority managing device 2 to register the use authority information and decryption key information, an electronic information managing device 3 to store encryption key information required for encryption and an electronic information referring device 4 to decrypt the encrypted electronic information by using the encryption key and to display the decoded electronic information. The use authority managing device 2 generates a contents ID to specify the electronic information, transmits it to the electronic information generating device 1 on receiving the use authority information and updates the registration of the use authority information and the decryption key as authority information by using the contents ID as an index. |
