PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license contract management system and method for managing the license contract of downloaded software. SOLUTION: An Internet terminal 22 downloads software from a software vender server 21, and determines the function and period of the downloaded software, and requests the estimation of license costs by performing access to a license contract management server 27. The license contract management server 27 calculates the license fee from the function and period, and presents it at the Internet terminal 22. The Internet terminal 22 confirms the presented contents, and makes the license contract with the license contract management server 27. The license contract management server 27 transmits a license key to the Internet network 22. When starting the downloaded software, the Internet terminal 22 inputs the license key, and inquires for the confirmation of the license to the license contract management server 27. |
