PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector for easily obtaining a projected image in which keystone distortion is corrected without the need for complicated operations for an operator. SOLUTION: The projector for projecting image information onto a projected face through a projection lens and a projected lens, is provided with a position detection means that detects a relative position relation between the projected face and the projector, a timer means that counts time after application of power, and a control means that calculates distortion of the image information projected onto the projected face on the basis of the position information from the position detection means to correct the distortion, the position detection means detects position information on the basis of time information after application of power from the timer means, gives the detection result to the control means and the control means projects the image information whose image distortion is corrected onto the projected face.
