PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode ray tube with high precision and low cost, enabled to pertinently correct an asymmetric deviation of a beam without increasing the cost of parts. SOLUTION: The electron gun has four grid electrodes 22, 23, 24, 25 successively arranged from upper stream side to the downstream side of the traveling direction of an electron beam, on the cathode side of a main focus lens of an orbit of the beam linearly emitted in horizontal direction. Those four grid electrodes 22, 23, 24, 25 form a static lens by unipotential method, and respective center beam passing holes 23g, 24g of two inside grids electrodes 23, 24, are formed so as to deviate in one direction and the other direction respectively from the horizontal axis X against the central standard axis CL1 passing through the center of the center beam passing holes 22g, 25g of two outside grid electrodes 22, 25.
