PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize model deformation in which a topology changes by insertion of a plane, etc., with simple condition setting. SOLUTION: A plane insertion specification line 12 and how a line of intersection 18 between a certain cutting plane and a FEM model 10 are designated as a deformation condition with respect to the FEM model 10. A model deformation system divides the model 10 into two partial models 30-1 and 30-2 with the plane insertion specification line 12 as a boundary and deforms each of the partial models so as to satisfy how to deform the line of intersection 18. Thus, partial models 35-1 and 35-2 satisfying the deformation condition are calculated. A model with a plane inserted is obtained by newly forming a plane between division edges 37-1 and 37-2 corresponding to the plane insertion specification line.
