<p>An enclosed lead storage battery which is produced in such ways: a specified number of synthetic resin fiber sheets (14) each having a breathable fine-net structure are laminated on the opposite side surfaces of a ceramic sheet laminate (13) formed by laminating a plurality of sheets formed from porous -ceramic-fiber woven fabrics, and they are compressed under a proper pressure to form a separator (10); the separator (10) is disposed between a cathode plate (11) and an anode plate (12) to form one pole plate group; a specified number of pole plate groups are stored in an electrolytic bath (not shown) according to voltage and capacity required; and an electrolyte is poured.
