<p>A base station transmits a downlink signal including information for discriminating whether the base station is an adaptive array base station. At a terminal capable of diversity reception, when the terminal to be connected is found to be an adaptive array base station, diversity reception is stopped and among a plurality of antennas (11, 12), the antenna used for transmission of an uplink signal is set to be used for reception immediately after it. This enables reception effectively utilizing the transmission directivity from the adaptive array base station, thereby reducing the interference wave. These processes are executed by a DSP (18) using software.</p> |
