<p>Drugs for potentiating the effect of cancer therapy based on the function mechanism of injuring DNA which contain compounds represented by the general formula (I) or physiologically acceptable salts thereof as the active ingredient: (I) wherein R represents aryl-substituted alkyl, heteroaryl-substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl-substituted alkyl or cyclic hydrocarbyl (wherein the cyclic hydrocarbyl may be saturated, partly saturated or aromatic); and Z represents hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl, provided that Z may be bonded to R to form a cyclic structure. These drugs potentiate the effect of cancer therapy and lessen the administration dose of anticancer agents and/or radiation dose, thereby relieving side effects accompanying cancer therapy.</p> |
