<p>The present tape cartridge leader has a hook retention hole that is shaped to conform to the shape of the cartridge leader retention hook to reduces stress concentrations. In addition, the hook retention hole is exclusively used as the tape cartridge leader stop mechanism due to its improved strength, thereby reducing stress on the tape cartridge leader guide wings. The guide wings are shaped with a lead in radius to reduce to possibility of damage to the guide wings. Finally, the present tape cartridge leader has a cartridge leader buckling hole with a lead in radius to reduce the likelihood of the mushroom tip catching on the cartridge leader buckling hole.</p> |
