<p>Provided is a toilet seat positioning device (10) for a toilet system having a base (100) formed as a bowl with a bottom surface (102) adapted for resting on a floor and a top surface (104) arranged opposite to the bottom surface (102), the top surface (104) having a front portion and a rear portion; a seat (106) arranged for pivotal movement between a lowered position at which the seat (106) is in contact or adjacent to the front portion and a raised position at which the seat (106) is remote from the front portion; the seat (106) having a central opening, a lid (108) being arranged to be pivotally movable to close the central opening when the seat (106) is in the lowered position, and to move with the seat (106) when the seat (106) is moving to the raised position; and an actuating assembly (48) having seat positioning means (20, 22, 40) arranged for, when actuated with the seat (106) in the lowered position, causing the seat (106) to pivotally move to the raised position, and when actuated with the seat (106) in the raised position, causing the seat (106) to pivotally move to the lowered position, and lid position means (56) arranged for causing the lid (108) in an up position to move to a down position for closing the central opening when the seat (106) is at or moving to the lowered position. The seta positioning means has a telescopically adjustable actuating arm sections (22A and 22) and a releaseable coupling arrangement for coupling the actuating arm (22) to a positioning member (20) of the positioning means.</p> |
