<p>An emergency brake device (21) of an elevator, comprising a clamping metal (17) installed in the car of the elevator or on a counterbalance weight and having inclined surfaces (17a, 17b) and a pressing surface (17c) provided so as to hold a guide rail (6), a pressing body (16) movably disposed between the inclined surfaces (17a, 17b) of the clamping metal (17) and the guide rail (6), and a solenoid (11) receiving an electric input signal for operation, connected to the pressing body (16), and moving the pressing body (16) away from the guide rail (6) in normal operation and pressing the pressing body (16) in a clearance between the inclined surfaces (17a, 17b) and the guide rail (6) in braking.</p> |
