PURPOSE: A method for fixing an optical fiber of a fiber array block is provided to improve the reliability of a device by increasing an adhesive strength of an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber(400) is mounted in a V-groove array substrate(110). An adhesive is sufficiently painted on an upper surface of the optical fiber(400) and the V-groove array substrate(110). A cover(210) of glass material is loaded on an adhesive. The cover(210) is pressed and adhered by a predetermined pressure. An additional small-sized dummy V-groove(111) except a V-groove for loading the optical fiber(400) is formed on the V-groove array substrate(110). A fine scratch is formed on an adhering surface of the cover(210) by using a dicing saw or a sandpaper.
