<p>A pallet consists of a load carrying platform (12) having an upper surface (14) and a lower surface (16). The load carrying platform (12) is formed from a rigid corrugated sheet. A plurality of regularly spaced apertures arranged in rows are formed through the load carrying platform (12). A leg element (18) is associated with each aperture. Each leg element (18) comprises a hollow V-shaped leg (22) having an open mouth (26) and flanges (24) extending on either side of the open mouth (26) of the leg (22). Each flange (24) is corrugated to correspond to the corrugations of the load carrying platform (12). Each leg element (18) is attached to the load carrying platform (12) with the leg (22) in register with one of the apertures and with the flanges (24) on adjacent leg elements (18) associated with a row of apertures abutting each other to form beams running transverse to the corrugations of the load carrying platform (12). The pallet is nestable with other similar pallets.</p> |
