<p>The invention relates to a packaging machine (10) which serves to wrap packing pieces (11) with packing film (12). The above comprises a transport device (18) for the packing pieces (11), arranged in a transport channel (32), at least one drawing device (24) for the packing film (12) and a film cutting- and welding-device (21), which, on operation thereof, draws one section of film (12b) from the drawing device and welds the same to another section of film (12a) to form a film tube surrounding the packing piece. According to the invention, a run-on of the film drawn by the drawing device into the transport channel may be prevented, whereby the drawing device (24), on the side thereof facing the film cutting- and welding-device (21), comprises a narrow through gap (34) for the packing film (12) which is upwardly and downwardly defined. Once the welding device ceases to draw on the film, said film is thrown against said passage through the gap as a result of the internal impulse thereof, without being able to pass through said gap into the transport channel.</p> |
