Device for adjusting and/or locking a component connected to a structure, e.g. a base of a transport device, especially for a motor vehicle, mobile home, airplane, train, magnetic levitation railway, and ship, comprises at least one adjusting device and at least one clamping device (18) arranged on an undercarriage (10) of the component. The component is moved within guide rails (12) via the adjusting device and locked within the guide rails using the clamping device. Preferred Features: Each adjusting device consists of at least one roller (14) running in the guide rails. The clamping device has at least one clamping jaw (48). The contour of a contact surface (62) of the clamping jaw and the contour of a contact surface (60) of the guide rails assigned to the contact surface of the clamping jaw have corresponding shape characteristics allowing accurately positioned locking action.
