The refrigerator (10) includes a cabinet (11) for enclosing a refrigerating compartment (13,15), the cabinet (11) having a door (14) for providing access to the refrigerating compartment (15), a message center (20 ) operatively connected to the cabinet(11). The message center includes a speaker, a microphone, and a display (22).
