PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for generating steam for car-wash are provided to control the amount of injected high pressure steam and continuously inject steam by an automatic air pump, thereby cleaning the outside of a vehicle as well as the inside and the wheels of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method for generating steam for car-wash includes the steps of storing the compressed air in an air storing tank(2) by an air pump, supplying a water tank(4) with the stored air at regular pressure, supplying a heated steam generator(5) with a regular amount of water by the water tank, moving the steam generated in the steam generator to the outside through a discharge pipe(6), and injecting the steam in state of steam including a detergent by detergent input progress in the course of moving.
