<p>Luminance gradient between electrodes is prevented by decreasing the leakage current of a dielectric barrier discharge lamp. Electrodes (3, 4) are provided on the outer surface of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp (1). The electrodes (3, 4) are connected to the high-voltage sides of high-frequency power supplies (5, 6), respectively. The low-voltage sides of the high-frequency power supplies (5, 6) are connected to the ground voltage GND. The phases of the output voltage waveforms of the high-frequency power supplies (5, 6) are different from each other, or the polarities of them are opposite to each other.</p> |
