PURPOSE: Provided are a medicament comprising lyophilisate of cetrorelix which is useful to treat female infertility and to provide male gonad protection. CONSTITUTION: The medicament comprises a sterilized lyophilizate of cetrorelix produced by the method comprising dissolving the cetrorelix in aqueous acetic acid comprising 3-30%(v/v) acetic acid to form a solution of cetrorelix in acetic acid, and lyophilizing the resulting solution. The lyophilizate comprises at least one bulking agent selected from the group consisting of mannitol, glucitol, sorbitol, dulcitol, allitol, altritol, iditol, their optically active forms, as well as the corresponding racemates, which are added to the solution before sterilization.
