<p>A lighting system (10), including a channel sign (12) having a cover (14), walls (16) and a bottom (18); a power source (22); a wire harness (24) coupled to the power source (22), a flexible conductor strip (28) coupled to the wire harness (24), the flexible conductor strip (28) defining solder pad openings (42) and the flexible conductor strip (28) coupled to the channel sign (12), the flexible conductor strip (28), the socket (44) including pin receptacles (50) in electrical contact through the solder pad openings (42); and a light (52) having conductive pins (54), the conductive pins (54) disposed in the pin receptacles (50) and a method of installing lights (52) including mounting a flexible conductor strip (28) to a structure (10); supplying power to the flexible conductor strip (28); electrically connecting lights to the flexible conductor strip (28) to power the lights (52); and exchanging burned out lights (52) with operable lights without removing the flexible conductor strip (28).</p> |
