<p>It is intended to provide remedies or preventives for diseases with a need to enhance the production of nerve growth factor for the treatment or prevention thereof, which contain as the active ingredient an aqueous extract of mushrooms. These drugs are useful in treating or preventing diseases with a need to enhance the production of nerve growth factor such as dementia and neuropathy. Also, nerve growth factor production enhancers and foods, drinks and feeds for enhancing nerve growth factor production containing the above active ingredient are provided. By daily taking these foods or drink, symptoms of the diseases with a need to enhance the production of nerve growth factor can be ameliorated. The feeds are useful in maintaining the homeostasis in vivo owing to the effect of enhancing the production of nerve growth factor.</p> |
