A reverse-osmosis assembly has a high-pressure pump (12) located at the inlet (2) to or within a holding tank (1). The pump raises the pressure to the operating level on the reverse-osmosis module (6) primary side. The concentrate return-pipe (11) surrenders fluid to the incoming raw fluid on the pump pressurized-side. The permeate return-tube (15) feeds the pump suction side into the raw fluid, downstream from the holding tank (1) and pump (4) and upstream from the reverse-osmosis module (6). A differential pressure pump is located in the return-tube (15) to the module (6) primary side. Each pump (4, 12) has suction inlets and mixers for raw fluid and permeate.
