The invention relates to a solar collector (1), especially a solar heater (2), comprising a parabolic reflector (4) secured on a support arm (3) for directing sunlight to a heating device (5). The reflector (4) is secured on a support arm (3), can be pivotably displaced around a pivoting axis (6) and comprises a locking brake (7)with a fixed (8) and a displaceable part (9). One part of the brake is secured on the reflector (4) and the other part of the brake is secured on the pivoting axis (6). Another part of the brake is embodied as a plate (10) which is secured to the support ring (11) of the reflector (4) and one part of the brake is embodied as a plate (10) which is rotationally fixed to the support frame (3) of the reflector (4).
