The invention relates to a system for collecting and storing solar thermal energy for the supply with domestic hot water or the heating of various users. According to the invention the system employs some parabolic mirrors (1) having the optic axis oriented automatically in the direction of the sun, using some electromechanical devices (A), a spherical end (a) of a vertical metal rod (3) which passes through a floor (4) into a reservoir (B) being placed in the focus point of each parabolic mirror (1), on the opposite end, said rod (3) having some fins (5) completely sunk into the water (8) in the reservoir, the thermal energy collected by means of the rod (3) and the fins (5) being thereby directly transfered to the water (8) in the reservoir.
