PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaning composition for a brass product which can prevent the regeneration of a metallic oxide film on the surface of a brass product while removing a metallic oxide film generated thereon. SOLUTION: An oxide film removal component consisting of an inorganic acid and/or an organic acid, at least one kind of corrosion inhibitor selected from the groups consisting of a cationic surfactant, a phosphoric ester based surfactant, a polycarboxylic acid or a salt thereof and Turkey red oil, and a moussing component consisting of a nonionic surfactant are added to water.
