PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system that designs component parts to be multifunctional at least in part so as to maximize saving of installation space, in a drive system for an automobile driven by a drive device 1, in which a clutch 2 and a transmission 3 are arranged to transmit/convert torque generated by the drive device 1 to driving wheels 6 of the automobile, and an electric machine 7 usable as a motor is arranged as a starter. SOLUTION: The electric machine 7 and the drive device 1 are designed to generate torque in one rotational direction and torque in the opposite rotational direction respectively. A reversing device is preferably abolished. |
