PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a black-and-white image forming time even in an image forming device constituted so that respective color component images are formed in a plurality of image forming stations. SOLUTION: In the case of forming a color image, semiconductor laser elements of respective laser beam scanner units 227a to 227d are controlled by respective laser control units 42a to 42d so as to flicker, and respective laser beams are emitted from respective laser beam scanner units 227a to 227d, and electrostatic latent images of color component images are separately formed on respective photoreceptor drums 222a to 222d by the laser beams. In the case of forming the black-and-white image, four laser beam emitting parts of the laser beam scanner unit 227a are controlled by four laser control units 42a to 42d so as to flicker, and then, four light beams L1, L2, L3 and L4 are made incident on the photoreceptor drum 222a so as to successively scan respective scanning lines four by four. |
