PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming an image of high quality by appropriately forming an image on a transfer material of high resistance while suppressing the increase of cost without damaging a photoreceptor drum and a transfer belt. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a 1st mode of forming a normal image, and a 2nd mode of forming an image while making the absolute value of the surface potential of a part of the photoreceptor corresponding to a pixel free from an image signal selectively lower than the absolute value of the electrification potential of the photoreceptor required at the time of forming the normal image in the case of image-exposing the photoreceptor, the modes are switched in accordance with such a prescribed condition that the transfer material has a resistance value or a transmittance equal to or exceeding a prescribed one. |
