<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side part air bag having a gas introduction passage of rigid structure capable of sufficiently putting up with an impact at the time of spouting of a high pressure gas. SOLUTION: In the side part air bag, a bag-like air bag body 1 having expansion parts 2a, 2b at the inside is formed by sewing a plurality of sheets of body ground fabrics 2 in the state that they are superposed and is installed at a side part of a vehicle. A cylindrical body 3 formed by superposing ground fabrics 3a such that one end thereof becomes an inner side and the other end thereof becomes an outer side and joining them to a cylindrical shape by a joining means 4 is provided in a gas introduction passage 2d for introducing a gas to the expansion parts 2a, 2b of the air bag body 1. Therefore, since the ground fabrics 3a in which a periphery of the gas introduction part 2i becoming an inflator mounting port, particularly a part of the joining part of the cylindrical body 3 provided in the gas introduction passage 2d substantially becomes an outer periphery part of the cylindrical body 3 are superposed each other, the air bag of rigid structure putting up with an impact at the time of spouting of a high pressure gas is easily obtained.</p> |
