PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a nondefective yield by suppressing dent generation in a semitransmissive-semireflective film composed of a polymer film, a metal thin film layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive laminated in this order or in a polarizing element with a polarizing film laminated on the pressure-sensitive adhesive, and to lower a defective fraction of a liquid crystal display device by applying it thereto. SOLUTION: The semitransmissive-semireflective film 10 manufactured by tightly laminating the pressure-sensitive adhesive 20, the metal thin film layer 25 and the polymer film layer 30 with 100-500 μm total thickness and consisting of at least one layer in this order is provided. Laminating the polarizing film 48 and a pressure-sensitive adhesive 21 on the pressure-sensitive adhesive 20 side of the semitransmissive-semireflective film 10 yields a semitransmissive- semireflective polarization converting element 40. Furthermore, laminating a liquid crystal cell 60 and a front surface side polarizing film 51 on the pressure-sensitive adhesive 21 side yields the semitransmissive-semireflective liquid crystal display device 70. |
