PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PURIFIED POLYCARBONATE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a purified polycarbonate resin which is a process having good efficiency on an industrial scale and excellent productivity and economy, and can stably obtain a high quality polycarbonate resin from a crude solution of a polycarbonate resin. SOLUTION: The process for producing a purified polycarbonate resin from a crude solution of a polycarbonate resin obtained by the interfacial polymerization method comprises (1) mixing a crude solution of a polycarbonate resin (PC) obtained by the polymerization with water and conducting at least one operation of effecting centrifugation of the water to obtain a PC solution I (centrifugation step); (2) removing the water content present in the PC solution I from the obtained PC solution I to obtain a PC solution II containing a deposited solid content (water content removal step); (3) separating the solid content present in the PC solution II from the obtained PC solution II to obtain a PC solution III (separation step); and (4) recovering a polycarbonate resin from the obtained PC solution III (recovery step).
