PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing container and an umbrella stand which are advantageous in view of their transporting state and storing state. SOLUTION: The stand is constituted by a lateral side part 1 for enclosing a circumference of a stored item and a bottom segment 2 forming a bottom part of the lateral side part 1. The lateral side part 1 is constituted by a plurality of divided segments 4, 4 which can be divided into at least two segments in a horizontal direction and the lower ends of these plurality of divided segments 4, 4 are removably fixed to the bottom segment 2.
