PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain dimensional accuracy within a range of a required value at every part in spite of integral formation of a lens having a thin-walled part and a thick-walled part in common. SOLUTION: The lens body 1 for the vehicle lamp is integrally formed by injection molding using a transparent resin material so as to have a thin-walled cover part 2 for covering the opening part of a lamp housing, and an optical part 3 formed thickly so as to be protruded outwardly to optically act on the front 2a of the cover part 2. The cover 2 is formed from the transparent resin material allowed to fill the whole of the residual volume of a cavity inclusive of the inside part of the optical part 3, after the resin material of the optical part 3 in the cavity of a mold is solidified. Since the optical part 3 and the cover part 2 are formed separately, a processing condition such as the temperature of the mold, an injection speed, a cooling speed or the like is optimized. |
