PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge capable of certainly supplying an ink to a recording head by eliminating a trouble derived from a filter disposed halfway in an ink channel. SOLUTION: In an ink cartridge for providing an ink in an ink storage chamber 23 to an ink supply opening 4 by disposing a filter 55 and a film valve 52 comprising a differential pressure valve mechanism between ink storage chambers 11, 16, 23 and an ink supply opening 4, and opening the film valve 52 at the time the negative pressure of the ink supply opening 4 is heightened to a certain degree of higher, the ink storage chamber 11 communicates with the atmosphere via an air permeable film 98 having pores smaller than pores in the filter 55. |
