PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leak alarm device capable of achieving the miniaturization and power saving of a gas sensor. SOLUTION: The gas leak alarm device is equipped with an inspection port 2 provided to the wall surface of a device main body and receiving the gas to be inspected ejected from the inspection machinery of the outside and the contact combustion type gas sensor element provided in the device main body so as to be opposed to the inspection port 2 to respond to the substance to be inspected in the gas to be inspected. The contact combustion type gas sensor element responds to the gas to be inspected by spraying the gas to be inspected on the inspection port 2 to allow the same to penetrate into the device main body to judge whether an alarm is given. In this gas leak alarm device, an obstruction member 3 is provided to obstruct such a phenomenon that the gas to be inspected ejected from the inspection machinery to pass through the inspection port 2 directly impinges against the contact combustion type gas sensor element.
