PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for a reaction chip capable of easily controlling the amount of an active substance to be carried. SOLUTION: In the carrier for the reaction chip, the active substance such as DNA, RNA, a protein, an antibody, or an enzyme is carried on the surface for detecting substances in a specimen. The surface is treated with corona discharge. By regulating the degree of the corona discharge treatment, the amount of hydrophilic groups in the surface is controlled. By this, the amount of the carried active substance is easily controlled in the carrier for the reaction chip.
