PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charcoal kiln which makes it possible to separately produce a soft charcoal and a hard charcoal, a wood charcoal and a bamboo charcoal, or object-like carbonaceous products comprising e.g. twigs, leaves, flowers and fruits at the same time with one kiln, and which allows quick charging of a raw material fuel with less labor, facilitating charcoal production. SOLUTION: The charcoal kiln has a tunnel-like outer shell 90 tapering from a midway and a basket 100 loaded with a raw material fuel for producing charcoal and placed in the outer shell. The outer shell, made of an iron sheet, consists of a straight body part 3 and a transferring part 4 connected thereto. The body part 3 is provided with an air suction pipe 1 introduced from the lower part of a front entrance and open on the floor. The transferring part 4 is placed on the horizontal floor in common with the body part 3, has cross sections reduced towards the end and is closed with a rear wall, with an exhaust pipe 5 provided at the lower part of the rear wall. The basket is made of a perforated iron plate, with the outer edges having a shape tapering approximately along the inside of the outer shell. The whole of the basket is partitioned with perforated iron plate partitions 12 in the lengthwise direction into multiple sections, which are loaded with a raw material fuel for producing charcoal.
