PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lid arrangement for an automobile for improving an extent of a lid for enhancing a damping effect when colliding with a pedestrian. SOLUTION: This lid arrangement has a downward side part separating laminated surface 5 between the lid 2 and a fender 6. The lid has an inner lid 4 and an outer lid 3. The lid has a reinforcing zone 13. This reinforcing zone is directly or indirectly supported by a side part support 14 of a car body of an automobile when the lid closes. The outer lid has a side part edge area 7. An edge part 9 contacts in a boundary with the separating laminated surface 5, and at least one connecting horizontal member 12 is arranged. The lid arrangement connects the reinforcing zone to the side part edge area of the outer lid via this member 12. When the lid closes, the reinforcing zone is supported so as to transmit force acting on the lid to the outer lid by a fastening means 16, and the fastening means 16 is fixed to the side part support of the car body of the automobile.
