PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring the quantity of droplets to be discharged capable of accurately measuring the quantity of each droplet to be discharged. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring the quantity of droplets to be discharged is provided with a liquid discharge recording head 2 for discharging the droplets 1, for example, in a horizontal direction, a head controller 21 for driving the head 2, a camera 3 for picking up the images of the droplets 1 discharged from the head 2, an illumination light source 5 for illuminating the droplets 1, a magnifying lens 4 mounted to the camera 3, and an information processor 6 such as a personal computer for computing the quantity of the droplets 1 by measuring the fall velocity of the droplets 1 on the basis of the images from the camera 3 and by analyzing the images.
