PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a piston of a double-acting compressor capable of efficiently manufacturing a piston with high shape accuracy by a die cast process at a low cost. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the piston 1 of an integrated shape formed of a pair of piston heads 2a, 2b and a pair of connecting walls 3a, 3b by forming mutually symmetric openings on opposing side walls of a approximately cylindrical bottomed shape of the double-acting compressor, forms an inside space formed of ceiling surface opposite to the pair of piston heads 2a, 2b and inner surfaces opposite to the pair of the connecting walls 3a, 3b by slide cores 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, and forms the piston 1 by the slide cores 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, and outer dies 9, 10 by die-casting.
