发明名称 METHOD FOR MANAGING STATE OF SUB-ROUTE IN ATM SWITCH
摘要 PURPOSE: A method for managing the state of a sub-route in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switch is provided to resolve the inconsistency of a sub-route state between local and remote station systems through a periodic test. CONSTITUTION: If a time elapses by a predetermined period(S1), a local station-side RTAF(Route Status Administration Function) retrieves the state of system resources which have an influence on the state of a corresponding sub-route resource(S2). The local station-side RTAF notifies the state of the retrieved each sub-route to a local station-side LIBMCF(Library of Maintenance Function)(S3). The local station-side LIBMCF receives the state of each sub-route from the local station-side RTAF and registers the state of each sub-route(S4). The local station-side LIBMCF generates a sub-route state management message such as a blocking message, an unblocking message, and a reset message, and transmits the sub-route state management message to a local station-side SMHF(Signaling Message Handling Function)(S5). The local station-side SMHF receives the sub-route state management message from the local station-side LIBMCF in an MTP(Message Transfer Protocol) layer, and confirms a valid path(S6). The local station-side SMHF transmits the sub-route state management message to a remote station system through the confirmed each valid path(S7). An SMHF of the remote station system receives the sub-route state management message in an MTP layer, confirms the received sub-route state management message, and transmits the sub-route state management message to a remote station-side RTAF(S8). The remote station-side RTAF receives the sub-route state management message through the remote station-side SMHF and notifies the remote station-side sub-route state to a remote station-side LIBMCF(S9). The remote station-side LIBMCF reflects the local station-side sub-route state to its system(S10). The remote station-side LIBMCF generates and transmits an acknowledgement message to the local station-side through the remote station-side SMHF(S11).
