发明名称 VARIABLE WAVELENGTH DISPERSION COMPENSATOR
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable wavelength dispersion compensator which can compensate even a wavelength dispersion slope. SOLUTION: Light incident from fibers 10 is converged by a lens 11 and is subjected to angular dispersion by a VIPA12. Luminous flux from the VIPA is made to converge on a surface shape variable mirror 20 by a lens 13. The surface shape variable mirror 20 has the specular surface shape which is controlled by a piezo-stage 21 and is constituted, so as to cause light to undergo required wavelength dispersion, as necessary. Although the light reflected from the surface shape variable mirror 20 returns through an optical path, it is made incident at a position which is different from the exit positions, when it is made incident on the VIPA12. Consequently, the incidence position on the VIPA12 is controlled for each wavelength by the surface shape variable mirror 20, to cause the light to undergo desired wavelength dispersion.
