PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal element in which many small liquid crystal cell parts such as liquid crystal tilt lens used in an optical pickup for a DVD are formed per unit area and all the liquid crystal cell parts are surely sealed and a manufacturing device therefor and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In this liquid crystal element, a first substrate and a second substrate provided with a plurality of electrode blocks corresponding to a single liquid crystal element are arranged with a gap with electrode faces facing each other, the gap is partitioned by a sealing material in accordance with the single liquid crystal element, a plurality of liquid crystal cell parts having a liquid crystal injection part are also formed, liquid crystal is injected to the liquid crystal cell parts from each of the liquid crystal injection parts and the liquid crystal injection parts are subsequently sealed. The liquid crystal elements are manufactured by pressingly holding the portions facing the liquid crystal cell parts, of the first substrate and the second substrate by pressingly holding members having projections for pressing and a pressing member for pressing the pressingly holding members after injecting the liquid crystal into the liquid crystal cell parts from the liquid crystal injection parts.
